Biography:
Haku, also known as Nigihayami Kohakunushi, is a central character in Hayao Miyazaki's 2001 Studio Ghibli film, Spirited Away.
He is a mysterious boy who guides the protagonist, Chihiro, through the spirit world, helping her navigate the bathhouse and find a way to save her parents.
Haku is later revealed to be a river spirit, specifically the spirit of the Kohaku River which was drained and replaced by apartments. He had forgotten his true name and form after leaving his river. Chihiro eventually helps him remember his name, freeing him from Yubaba's control and restoring his identity.
